Kari's Law, which has been in effect for all systems installed or upgraded after February 16, 2020, is required for all multi line telephone systems (MLTS) and introduces two new requirements:

Ray Baum's Act, which goes into effect on January 6, 2021 for "Fixed Multi-line Telephone Systems (MLTS)" and January 6, 2022 for "Non-fixed Multi-line Telephone Systems (MLTS)" requires that calls to 911 include a '“Dispatchable location” is conveyed with 911 calls, regardless of the technological platform used, so that 911 call centers will receive the caller’s location automatically and can dispatch responders more quickly. “Dispatchable location” is defined as “the street address of the calling party, and additional information such as room number, floor number, or similar information necessary to adequately identify the location of the calling party.”
Evolve IP is fully compliant with the requirements. You may login to OSSMosis to manage your Emergency Notifications under Location Settings.

O5 admins have the ability to not only update the end user address, but also add a second line of address to further pinpoint the end users location.
Correct validated address
Incorrect address- will not allow user to UPDATE location information
There is also a built-in address validation feature that requires the address to be valid (based on US postal services database) before allowing the admin to update the location.
Often times, customers are using terms incorrectly when talking about 911 compliance with Kari's Law and Ray Baum's Act, e-911 and Dynamic 911. So, it's important to understand Dynamic Location Routing (DLR) for 911. This is a complex solution designed for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, which Evolve IP does NOT support at this time. This is also NOT needed to be compliant with Kari's Law and Ray Baum's Act. When supported, it can provide more specific location info when a user dials 911 from a Microsoft Teams endpoint.
