Broadcom VMware Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) is a program that allows partners to offer managed cloud services to customers by providing:
Sovereign cloud services that support data residency
Compliance certifications
Expertise in local regulations
Strong security measures
Transparency and control over data handling
How it Works
Broadcom VCSPs offer a subscription-based private cloud platform called VMware Cloud Foundation. Customers can benefit from the scalability and agility of a public cloud, along with the security and performance of a private cloud.
Program Tiers
Broadcom VCSPs are divided into tiers, including:
VCSP Premier Partners - Have highly-developed VMware practices and a consistent track record of delivering customer satisfaction
VCSP Registered Partners - Achieve the minimum requirements for the program
Partner Onboarding Process
The partner signs a sales order with Evolve IP
A kick-off call is scheduled:
Evolve IP provides a presentation to the partner
The partner provides Evolve IP a list of software and keys needed for their environment
Evolve IP verifies the partner's core count (total ESXi core count shown in all vCenter servers)
The partner tears down old usage meters (if present)
Evolve IP provides the steps to install new instances of Usage Meter v4.8
Using the steps provided by Evolve IP, the partner installs an instance of Usage Meter in their environment
During the installation, the partner provides the UUID from the Usage Meter installation process, and waits for Evolve IP to perform the Broadcom registration
Evolve IP uses the UUID to register the instance of Usage Meter in the Broadcom portal
Once registered, the partner finishes the Usage Meter install
The partner adds all vCenter servers to their instance of Usage Meter
Evolve IP generates keys and provides them to the partner along with any software downloads
The partner swaps their keys and notifies Evolve IP when completed
