This article discusses how Product Development publishes new Product Manual content.


Product Manual

The Source → Target Model

The new product manual consists of a "source" Product Manual, which lives in Home > Product Manual, and a "target" Product Manual which lives in Evolve IP Knowledge Base > Product Manual.

The source Product Manual is

  • the source and home of all PM content
  • internal only
  • where you will build new PM content
  • where you will "push" or publish content to the target Product Manual (see Publishing new Product Manual content below)

The target Product Manual

  • is external, but only for our Partners
  • acts as the recipient of all internal PM articles, i.e. the "target"
  • should never be edited



Publishing new Product Manual content

As the above section states, the source Product Manual is internal only. Product Development can build and review your documents here, and publish them when ready.

Publishing to the target Product Manual is a simple matter of clicking the "Publish" button that lives in the top right-hand corner of your page.

Editing current content

To edit a page, simply make your changes and click the "Update" button, and then click the Publish button.
