Summary
If the OS on your computer fails to start, you can restore the machine back to new hardware often referred to as a "bare metal restore". You are able to complete a restore to new hardware if you specified to backup the entire machine during the initial backup configuration. You can restore to the same (if the OS fails to load or be repaired), or different hardware. Prior to the restore, for a Windows OS, you need to create recovery media which you will use to boot the machine to initiate the restore. During this process, you can import drivers if you are restoring to a machine with different hardware. You may need to install the drivers for network and RAID or hard disk drives to complete the restore. If you are restoring a Linux OS you will utilize the Veeam Recovery Media. If needed, you can contact Support to obtain the correct version.
